So my 3ds doesn't charge well, I plug in the charger and it doesn't show the light unless I hold it down, but now it only charged for a minute and stops. (The charger isn't the problem) is it the battery ? Also when I plug headphones in the sound only comes out one ear. (Headphones aren't the problem)

The charging problem you are having is a very common problem with these consoles. the solder that connects the charge port pins to the motherboard weakens and loosens over time and that creates a bad connection. That's why when you hold the charge cable a certain way it still charges.
You may also have a battery problem. Typically when the charge light comes on for about 10-15 seconds, then goes out it can mean that the battery is faulty. I've found that many times when the charge port is bad the battery is also bad. What happens is the charge port gets loose and doesn't charge the battery correctly or fully and this causes the battery to have a shorter lifespan.
I recommend having the charge port re-soldered and a new battery installed. This should fix that issue.
As far as the headphones go...it could be just that the headphone port is dirty inside, or the headphone jack could also be loose inside. I've seen these have bad solder joints on the headphone jack as well.
