What Scanner work best with the newer MacBook?

My OLD Canon Lide30 scanner doesnt work with my MacBook Pro!! It needs the Classic 9 OS, which I had in my PowerBook G4 17". Anybody know which scanner to buy under $100 and needs to be Portable like the CanoScan Lide30?
