Why is my hard drive not detected?
I changed the hard drive in my power book G4 but it is not detected. What can I do?

Please see my answer in the post below. Your hard drive may not be in a Mac format, and therefore you may need to format it in Disk Utility before it will become visible in the installer. If this doesn't help, please let us know more details as to what you are seeing, and what you have tried. Thanks!

I did the same a few days ago. Follow his advice and it should be there.
