Use the tear down guide and use a soft brush to go over all connections and other metal parts (such as mounting plates ect.) with isopropyl alcohol. Also dip the logic board in it, brush softly and let all parts dry. Reassemble it with a new battery and hope you didn't short it.

With any water damaged device you should do this, and I would have suggested leaving it in the rice for a week, though something like silica would have been better.

Jared, skip the rice. The "rice trick" is one big myth. Placing your phone in rice is equivalent to doing nothing. It does not prevent any kind of corrosion or fixes your phone. The best thing to do is to stop using the device, (remove the battery) and to totally disassemble it.Take a look at this teardown and see if you are up for it. Once you have your phone disassembled clean it with +90% isopropyl alcohol. This will displace the water and stop corrosion. It it okay to submerge a board in isopropyl alcohol. Check this guide to show you how to do it. It was written for an iPhone but all the points are still pertinent to your phone as well. After that, air dry all the components. Do not forget to clean the connectors on the board as well as the cables. You mentioned that you checked the battery, but unless you have sophisticated testing devices (not a multimeter to test voltages) there is no way to get a proper perfomance test. Then re-assemble with a new battery This is not optional but a must to avoid failure later on. " Check your board for any missing or damaged component. Water damage is the toughest to trouble shoot and to repair. Hope this helps, good luck.
