iPhone 5 constantly searching after screen break.Heat from connectors.

iPhone 5 pretty bad break, constantly shows searching after powering the phone on. Had a look inside all the connectors are fine and the SIM tray looks fine too.

However I can feel heat coming from the two connectors near the battery connector as highlighted in the picture below.

Not that familiar with the board components just wondering if anyone else has had the same problem?

ive had a similar problem, i noticed that there is an antenna part there, have you tried applying heat incase theres a loose connection?

Yes, this was something that I could not repair.

lift the interconnect cables and look for pry damage in the red circled area. It is common to damage DZ101_RF which is part of the SIM detection circuit. The heat may be a short created if a small component is dislodged slightly and now lying across some contacts that are creating a short.

post what you find.
