keyboard version 3.2 to 3.3

I have a backlit keyboard and the check box is not in the system preferences under keyboard to turn on the backlight. My version is 3.2 and I need 3.3 to have the box to show up. My PowerBook is A-1095

Please help.

Hi Mayer,

He is know to have good parts. I did the PMU reset and the pram and the it still did not work. Also I just upgraded the OS to 10.5.8 should I try to do the reset again since I changed the OS?

Try running software update to automatically get it. Reset the PMU. Zap the PRAM. What system are you running?

Hi Mayer,

He is known to have good parts. I did both tasks that you told me to do and it did not work. I guess it a problem with the keyboard.
