Charging dock is not working

Phone works fine but will not charge. Tried several different chargers and its definitely the charging dock. It has always been finicky getting it in just the right position to charge. Often woke up to find the phone dead. Once got the phone wet and dried it out with instructions on this site and it started working again. But no doubt the warentee is no longer valid. So now I keep charging batteries in the wall charger. Can it be fixed.
