My display panel is broken

I have an apple cinema display 24 inch.

I asked apple to repair it. They said the lcd panel is broken and that replacing that would cost 700 euro.

What lcd panel does the display have?

Lukas Guy, I believe that Apple uses a couple of different manufacturers for the monitor. The part number for the LCD is 661-4822 and the easiest way to verify that is by taking a look at the sticker on the back side of the panel. It is most likely a LG-Philips LM240WU6-SDA1, replacement cost around $400. Hope this helps, good luck.
