Imac A1311 EMC 2428 want to replace 1TB HD with 4TB hard drive. Will this work?

To prevent run away fans when changing brands of hard drive you will need OWC In-line Digital Thermal Sensor for iMac 2011 Hard Drive Upgrade. Here's where to get it:

That will work, however, you need to have Apple do the upgrade or talk to OWC about it. That requires a special cable from them.
