Is it possible to solder the socket needed for the backlit keyboard onto the mainboard? If so, does anyone know the name of and where to get that specific socket? Thanks!

Are you looking for the ZIF socket for the keyboard backlit connector? I think this is what you are looking for: link
I think it can be soldered but requires above-average soldering skill. Looks like the socket has 6 pins to be soldered to the board.
