Third party SSD upgrade?
Hi,
how likely is it to see third party vendors building pci-e ssd storage?
From the looks these are the same modules as for the upcoming mac pro.
Esta é uma boa pergunta?

Henry - Just to soon to say when 3rd parties will introduce there options. I suspect it will be late in the fall before any announce anything.
This is again a very radical change (this will be the third SSD custom storage system Apple has used on the Airs).

Machead I think he was looking at the internal upgrade/replacement SSD options for the just announced MacBook Air systems.
If so given time there probably will be someone out there with them... my money would still be on OWC.
No doubt OWC will be one of the first with an upgrade option!
Maybe this Samsung XP 941 http://www.engadget.com/2013/06/17/samsu... although they do not seems to be pin compatible

mmm .... Is something is fishy here in this news clipping Samsung which appears to have been picked up by quite a few trade rags. Did you note the different logos on the label? Did you see the Serial ATA standards logo? That doesn't quite make sense here if it denotes the physical I/O which is PCIe not SATA. It's possible they are emulating it internally so it appears to be a SATA drive to the OS. If that were the case, I wouldn't have expected the SATA groups logo on the part.
