My brother bought me PS3 CECH 4001B from USA, and seeing this teardown I am still worried that it wont survive on India's 220V supply. Can I use a step down converter?? I have this converter from Protege Model No.- 1393.
Please suggest me a step down converter if possible.

Sandeep Yadav, the PS3 Super Slim has a universal power supply. It is okay to use it on your 220V. You will not need a transformer. "the power supply is designed for inputs ranging from 100V to 240V AC, making it usable across the globe." from here. Get a power cable that will fit your electrical outlet, plug it in and enjoy playing your games. Hope this helps, good luck.

@oldturkey, i agree it is dual voltage but is there any harm if i still use a converter??? actually its my bday gift n i dont wanna take any chances...

I absolutely understand and I know what you mean.:-) The power supply is meant for a worldwide market. It will pretty much fit any power grid around he world. You will be fine using it. You can use a step-up transformer, but it is absolutely unnecessary.
