A 3.5" drive is made to fit inside a desktop computer. There simply is not enough room to fit one in a laptop.

so I must use 2.5?
Yes, for either swapping out your current 2.5" HD or if you get the housing to swap-out your optical drive for a SSD as well Dual HD or SSD Installation.
