After replacing the home button of my iPhone 4, the screen seems to show random blue and black lines. I can still call the device and the ringtone plays but the screen still shows lines. I've restored the phone but nothing changed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure when you reassemble that the display assemble is settled and screwed properly. What happens is an uneven placement of the assembly can damage it even with a minor bend. If you already assembled your phone completely back together, chances are you already ruined the lcd assembly and will need to replace it with a new one.

i guess i'll have to purchase a new assembly, as i have assembled the phone back together
