Is 2gb ram card compatible with my acer?
I put a 2gb card in my puter but dont think it works. plus i have black screen of death to complicate things, can these two be related?

If you installed RAM other than PC2 -5300, if won't work. What did you install and how do you know it was good?

I put in a 2gb 2Rx8 pc2 5300s 555 12 E3 card and it seemed to work fine but not better. Then my friend dropped my acer off the table and the speed slowed even more. So i took it apart to make sure the RAM dint get lose. Put back together and now have the blank screen of death. BIOS trick dint work....the first hundred times anyway
Does 5300s make any difference from 5300? I wish people were a lil more lazy with extra time on them like i do
Plain 5300 RAM is for desktops and is full size while the 5300s is the small one for laptops.
