Solução escolhida

1. Go under the Apple to System Preferences > Start Up disk , and that will tell you what systems are on what drive.

2.; Go under the Apple to "about this Mac", the front page will give you your start-up drive.

I assume you have a dual HD setup with matching HD's (same size & same vendor).

You can use Apples System Profiler application to ID the drive by it's serial number using the amount of used space as a guide on which drive via the desktop the first listed drive is typically the one with the OS on it. Go to Serial-ATA section to see the drives S/N.

Once you open the Mac Mini you can ID the serial number on the discrete disk drive.

But before you do that, do you have a external case to house the SSD in so you can copy the OS over? If not, you may need to take the non system disk out first to put the SSD in to then move the OS over that swap the disks around again so you have the config you want.

I've re-read this answer 4 times. It's as clear as mud.

Hopefully my correction makes it clearer. In dual drive setups with the SAME drive in both bays it's the only way I could figure it out. Yes, you can use the Start Up control panel if the drives are different sizes.
