frequent video display jumping

When in use the display will start to jump erratically. To fix it the screen needs to be moved to a different position on it's pivot. This is getting more frequent and finding a position where the display doesn't jump more difficult. It's probably a connection problem between the screen and the main board but I am uncertain if it is readily reparable. If it can be I'd appreciate guidance.
