If your iPhone 4 is disabled and won't connect to iTunes, enter Recovery Mode by holding the Home button while connecting to a PC. Update iTunes, then select Restore to erase the device. If Find My iPhone is enabled, erase it via iCloud.com. Third-party tools can also help.
