Just a short follow-up: 4 years later, the 2TB SSD in my ATC is still going strong.

Somebody asked before about the lack of TRIM support; I tried to mitigate this by increasing the SSD overprovisioning (using a single smaller partition of only 1.6TB out of 2TB). This in turn might help SSD's own garbage collection and wear levelling mechanism.
