I figured it out! I did some research and found out it was the T-con board that was faulty. You can do some light research to find out where your t-con board is located on your tv but generally it is the board with 2 thick ribbon cables going to the display. With my Sharp Tv (model: LC-46D85U) I was able to find the correct t-con board online by opening up the tv and trying to find a model number for your t-con board (mine was CPWBX4023TPXA ) I was able to find some on ebay for 60 to 100 CAD (45 - 80 USD). I think replacing the t-con board will fix your issue as I have not yet purchased mine from ebay yet so I cannot give a straight answer. Hope this helps!
