I had this issue where the machine will shut off after pressing the selected brew amount. I tried the flipping and shaking method to no avail. Upon taking the unit apart and deep cleaning the internals it still wouldn't work. I then had the bright idea to jump the motors with a 9-volt battery. After verifying the function of both the water pump and air pump I reassembled the unit and placed the water Reservoir back on the unit and tested it. Sure enough it worked! I am going to descale the unit just to be sure it's clean. If nothing else works I would suggest that.
