I had the same problem. My HP Elite X2 1012 G1 no longer recognized the power supply and could not be charged. The light-emitting diode on the power supply connector remained dark. The power supply was fine.
Maybe it was due to the Win10 22H2 update, which was installed shortly before. On HP's website I found a solution in the form of a hardware reset: Remove all peripherals, including the power supply, then press the power button for at least 15 seconds. Then reconnect the power supply. This helped me; the notebook will now be charged again!
