eddie123, my suggestion is to follow [http://www.ifixit.com/Wiki/Electronics_Water_Damage|this guide.] Disassemble your iPod by using [http://www.ifixit.com/Device/iPod_Touch_2nd_Generation#deviceGuides|these guides] Clean the board with plenty of high percentage isopropyl alcohol to prevent corrosion and failure later on. Clean the cable ends and the connectors as well. Replace your battery, Lithium Ion batteries do not like water at all. After you have it clean and replaced the battery, reassemble your iPod and re-evaluate for any further damage. Good Luck.
