I’ve got to think that by the time they get to this site, most people have checked to see if they’re actually connected to wifi. Also, if you have no wifi, it’s difficult to update the software…. As my issue resolved itself a few days after I did a hard reset, I didn’t look into this, but others have said you can connect the Kindle to a pc and download software that way.
