Iv seen some Roland’s and M-controllers do this and it’s usually one of 2 things
1)as you said a fried or damaged main board but seeing this is extremely rare so it’s probably best to leave that as a last resort
-2)it can be corrosion on the contracts for the keys,I am aware that you have cleaned them but if they are corroded in any was it can make them act strange(just as the issue you are having) so you can get a pencil if they are carbon contacts(black ones)and draw some extra carbon dust onto them ,if they are gold you can clean them with isopropyl alcohol or replace the Key-bed board
