I have a PS one. It doesn't run the disc(the game). It was working before this and recently seemed to stop working. Before this I was able to get it working after trying to start it for a while but then, the other day, I had been playing on it and I stopped and tried to start it up again and it didn't work. I am wondering, do I just need to replace my disc drive again or is there more to the problem I'm having now? Oh yeah. And, it seems like I might have overheated it on accident because I just had it sitting on the carpet floor while I was playing on it. Instead of on a hard solid flat surface, you know?

I have a PS one. It doesn't run the disc(the game). It was working before this and recently seemed to stop working. Before this I was able to get it working after trying to start it for a while, it seemed like it had to warm up before running the game. but then, the other day, I had been playing on it and I stopped and then right afterward tried to start it up again and it didn't work. I am wondering, do I just need to replace my disc drive again or is there more to the problem I'm having now? Oh yeah. And, it seems like I might have overheated it on accident because I just had it sitting on the carpet floor while I was playing on it instead of on a table or something similar. Oh yeah, and some more detail: now whenever I try to start it, one of these two or both of these two things happens- the laser doesn't move like it's supposed to, and/or the disc doesn't spin properly. And then it stops of course. Yeah, so now as far as I can tell it never works. So I'm wondering if I just need a new disc drive for it, or if there might be more that needs to be fixed than just that.
