@melferas there are some fuses on your GBA SP motherboard. The issue you are describing would fit the bill of a blown fuse. Post some really good pictures of your board with your QUESTION. [guide|21499] That way we can see what you see and hopefully help you out further. You’ll need a multimeter as well to determine if you have continuity at the fuse etc. Yes a failed connector is possible. check the pins and see if they are bend etc. Also., check with a meter to see if you have continuity from the outside of the connector to the traces.

+Check both fuses for continuity with a meter. If those check out okay, I’d check the connector as shown at ~6:00 min in [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EnYxizt8wDE|this video] After that replace the connector and see if that resolves your issues. Schematics are not readily available so it ‘ll be difficult to determining the circuitry for any board level repair.
