What is your model number on this? You will find it on the bottom of the case. The model number is either going to end in 001 (the original one) or 101 (New Brighter Screen). When you plug the charger in does the charging light briefly flicker (turn on then off quickly) as you plug it in or does it remain off ?  (copy and paste to question)

this is happening to my deice when it flickers on the charge what does that mean
