I had the same issue, and tried all the same advice. In desperation, i deleted all my blue tooth connections to Bose speaker. Reset the speakers to start from scratch so it was like new.

Paired all my devices to the speaker, and all worked fine. Not sure why it failed to play, and strange it was all my iPhone and iPad not working, but iPods worked all the time.!!
