I am using my MAC with an external monitor until I get my faulty screen cables replaced but the cpu is running at 70% and the machine is slow. I know that it is the temperature probes. How to I switch off the thermal sensors.

I am fairly sure it is the display temperature sensor. I have ordered a new display cable. (I hope the new cable will sort) but, at the moment I am using the iMac (my business computer) with an external monitor but it is slow…. if I could find a temp way of disabling the display temperature I am certain that it would work until the cable arrives… any solutions would be great… thanks again.
