The same thing happened on my daughter's 8+. Had it on charge, took it off charge and rebooted then notification on screen to service home button then nothiced crack on home button. Tesco want £371 to fix. Apple want £630!!! A 6 month old phone!! And since the new update, the phone has now frozen! Apple are a bunch of robbing gits! How can THEY prove it was damaged by human error??!!! As much as I can prove it wasn't. She is SO careful with her expensive phone and under no circumstance has she damaged it. So Apple/Tesco are calling my daughter a liar?! I refuse to pay for a manufacture fault.
