Check your battery, it might just need replacing. Also make sure that the battery connectors are clean and free of corrosion. I also seem to recall that there is a fuse for the charging circuit. So if you replace your battery and you clean all the contact, and made sure that your contacts connect with thethttp://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Repair/Installing-Nintendo-DS-Lite-Battery/1910/1he battery contacts let us know, I will try and find more info.
