Earlier, I was using my phone to look through my apps, and decided to charge my phone because I was going to go be with family. When I was about to leave, I took my phone off the charger and noticed it wouldn't turn on. I tried to hold the power button to see if it shut down on its own, or something of the sort. When it didn't, I tried to charge it. The charging light never turned on, so I was very confused.
I attempted to clean the charging port with a toothpick, in case if it was dirty or if something got stuck inside of it, like pocket lint. I tried using a different charging cord, but it wasn't working either. I would try to use my original charger, but its broken beyond repair (my dogs got ahold of it.) I also tried to reset the "charging logic" ( hold the power button and volume buttons for approx. two minutes) but nothing happened with that, either.
It should also be noted that my power button is broken in half, but still works. Half of it is stuck while the other half is perfectly functional. I've had the phone for almost three years, and the power button hasn't given me any trouble ever since being broken.
