Well that's bad. I have managed to flash this one time without Software status changing to modified.

Take note of the model number of the phone and region no of the phone in bootloader settings. You may need to get matching firmware to flash on this phone via adb (android debug bridge).

Once the bootloader gets unlocked it's a big hassle to restore original firmware back onto the phone.
