Hi Rohan! If you folded the ribbon cable correctly and you haven't damaged the cable, the solution is that you bought a faulty digitizer. I came across the same situation and the digitizer i bought was faulty. BUT before changing the digitizer again try reseting the ipad by holding the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds until the Apple logo appears. See then if it responds.
