You can try by attaching an external monitor if does the same thing the problem could be over heating of your video chip and you can open you laptop to make sure that the heat sink is properly connected or the paste is still intact.

If it is fine with an external monitor then you might need to open the LCD bezel or Hinge bezel to make sure that LCD connectors a plugged in properly and no lose contact.
