patyershants, try entering the BIOS with [F2], then save BIOS defaults with [F9], and then save and exit with [F10]. You also want to check that the memory module is correctly seated. Try the computer without the battery. Remove the battery, the memory and the AC power. Press and hold the power button for a few seconds, then reinstall the memory and the AC power only. If that does not accomplish anything you may need to try a CMOS Reset. To reset your CMOS you should have some power pads under your memory module. Remove the memory and look for two pads with a marking like "RTC reset". Shorten those, and only those, with a pair of tweezers or similar instruments. See what you get. Hope this helps, good luck.
