I want to recover the true tone on my iphone X, because when they repaired it they did not copy the data to the new screen, but I no longer have the original screen, can I copy the data from another original screen and it works on my iphone X? or the screen originally installed is highly needed.

Quiero recuperar el true tone en mi iphone X, porque cuando lo repararon no copiaron la data a la nueva pantalla, pero ya no tengo la pantalla original, ¿Se puede copiar la data de otra pantalla original y que funcione en mi iphone X? o es forsosamente necesaria la pantalla instalada originalmente.

iPhone X: Not Charging after battery and charging port replacement

Can anyone help, I have replaced several different battery and charging port as I thought the parts might have came faulty, I have tried different combination to test as well.

I have tried to unplug the battery and plug charging cable in by itself and it flashes white screen every few seconds.

When the battery plugged in, there’s no charging icon when cable plugged in.

Now the battery is dead, It charges to 1% in an hour or so plugged in then it drops back dead.

When I plug headphone in or plug in computer it does nothing either.

What could be wrong and how to fix it?

iPhone X: Face ID and earpiece help

Ok. Let me start from the beginning. I bought a water damaged iPhone X. When you tried to restore it, it gave code 4013, unable to restore. So I tore it down and disconnected the earpiece and it works fine now, I just done have Face ID or an ear speaker, and anything else that the flex is used for on the X. Now my question is this, if I buy another earpiece I know that the Face ID won’t work due to the logicboard and the flood Illuminator being synced together. So would this work? If I removed the flood illuminator from my old earpiece and soldered it on to a new earpiece… would that be all I need? Thanks ahead of time.

iPhone X: Battery drain/lightning port not working

Has anyone experienced changing battery in iPhone X then it boots slow will only wireless charge and the lightning port not charging? Also if the phone is locked it does recognize cable has been plugged in and says must unlock to use this device. it’s an oem cable works fine with my 11 and iPad. My hypothesis is I damaged lightning port cable getting battery out which shorted port pulling down battery. Right now only wireless charging works here’s another thing it will charge to 100% with wireless but eating 6% an hour even in airplane mode. This phone was in terrible shape when I got it back was destroyed also front screen and frame bent. I have replace screen, back glass, battery, and front speaker assembly. I know Face ID is done but at least top speaker and mic work proxy still doesn’t I have ordered another lightning port cable but was just wanting second opinion

iPhone X: Part of the screen isn’t responsive to touch

few days ago I picked up my phone and I noticed that part of the screen (thin vertical line) isn’t responding to my touching and the rest of it works fine, I don’t remember myself dropping it. Does anyone have any idea how to fix it?

iPhone X: Pentalobe screws were stuck

I removed my screen without takin out pentalobe screws. My earpiece didn’t come off with the display assembly and I don’t know what to do about not being able to transfer it to my new display.

iPhone X: What’s wrong with my camera?

The rear camera on my iPhone X has a red tint and cracking. There is no visible external damage. The tint and cracking is seen when taking a picture and on the actual pictures.

iPhone X: Identifying OEM iPhone X/Xr Screens?

Hello,

At my shop we have a couple of broken aftermarket screens that we are looking to RTV with OEM ones that come in for replacement. I know that on the iPhones up to the 8, it was easy to identify if it was OEM or not because of the Apple logo at the top right of the back of the screen. I do not see any markings on any of the iPhones after that. Does anyone have a good way of identifying OEM screens on the new gen phones?

iPhone X: iFixit replacement screen randomly touches

I bought a replacement iPhone x screen a few months back and lately, it has been randomly dragging the screen up and it will stay there until I touch the screen and it has started doing it more and more frequently. Im serverly disappointed as I spent a decent amount of money on this screen and it doesn’t even function correctly :/ I put in the waterproof gasket and everything aswell.

iPhone X: iPhone X exposed to rain

My iPhone X got exposed to rain and all my cameras were fogged and face id was dead. Its been 3 days in rice and back camera lens has been cleared but still got some drops. The front camera lens gets fogged every time I switch on the phone. My camera quality is so bad now. Other than this phone is working absolutely perfect. Warranty is over. If I give it to a 3rd party shop and clean the lens will I get the camera quality back? Maybe I have damaged face id but I just need my camera back. Its lockdown here and I am looking for someone who can open it up and clean the camera. I have checked my sim strip and it hasn't turned red so there is no indication of liquid damage. Please suggest me something,

Or instructions on how to disconnect or de solder it so a new volume flex cable can be replaced?

I cannot find any info anywhere on the net how its connected or how to replace it.

iPhone X: Face id and Both camera condensed

Hi guys, 2 days before i dropped my phone and it was exposed to rain. I took it and realized water went in as speakers were muffled but luckily it became fine later and my phone was working absolutely perfect. I checked sim and realised water damage strip was white. But it was late when i came to know that my camera back and front was condensed . First thing i did was checking my face id and unfortunately it was not detecting. I then used it for one day without any issues and found a spare so that i could keep it in a box and set it for dry. Every 6 hours i check it and it was clearing time by time. Back camera still has some but front cam is clear. So i checked again and face id was not working. But i noticed that dot projector red light was back. Ambient and other sensor is working as well. May i know if i have damaged my face id? I feel like red light has some condensation in it as well . Shoul i keep it in box for more time? I cannot take it to repair as it's total lockdown and moreover my phone was never opened and my phone is functionioning well except this . So if i wait will my face id and both the portrait be fixed? My back portrait is now getting better as its no longer showing move away. But i cannot capture perfect portrait with front but my selfies are good as before. Please suggest me what should i do

iPhone X: iPhone X bootloop problem after screen and battery remplacement

Hi,

two weeks before i changed the screen and the battery and both worked good untill last day i found that my iphone x battery was drained ,

i put it in the charger than the problem of boot loop began and keep restarting untill it return to the battery low level icon , i was able to enter into dfu and recovery mode but my mac didn't detect the phone !!

i tried to bootup with the old battery without face id flex cable and yes it works!! the phone bootup normally then i made a backup , after the backup i restarted the phone and the problem of bootloop returns again and the battery drained again

my questions are, where is the problem in this situation ? is it the screen or the battery ? and how i can fix this problem ? what if i get a new battery and make the restore with should it will works ?

I purchased a used iphone X with cracked glass and no Face ID. I planned to replace with an OEM screen and could have done w/o the Face ID. But now I realize that even the true tone is missing. So is my display already a replaced one or is original? How can I make out this?

iPhone X: Water Damage, Cameras + FaceID not working

Several months ago I took a hike in torrential downpour (not intentionally just got caught without an umbrella) and my iPhone got drenched - it would not turn on. I put it in rice and let it dry out for a week. As a result the screen turns on but the back camera won’t display a preview within camera app. The front camera displays a preview but will not take pictures, face ID does not work. If I initialize the camera in instagram the back camera will display a preview but not take a picture.

So my question is does this sound like a logic board issue or a camera hardware issue? Is it worth bothering to try and replace components?

iPhone X: Touchscreen stopped working completely

Have been using the X for more than 2 years now without any issues. Recently started charging with PD charger and it stopped responding to touches only while charging, off the charger it worked. I should have noted this thing but I continued to fast charge and one night the touch stops working completely. Restart doesn’t help. I believe the heat during fast charging made things worse.

Is it the same issue where Apple has the program to replace such iPhone X screens with known issues of failure of certain components?
