So i dropped my phone a while ago and now the wifi and bluetooth overheat the phone to the temperature warning when turned on . this morning the phone rebooted and went into bootloop. itunes shows error 4013. No repair shops in my city can help me and apple asks me to get my phone replaced for too much money. A little research tells me it is a baseband issue but i have no idea how to fix it . Please guide me so i can get this done.PLEASE :(

iPhone 6s: Tin can audio from replacement screen iPhone 6s

I replaced the screen on my iPhone 6s using an iFixit part and now the audio during phone calls is horrible. The audio rattles, there are high pitched artifacts. It sounds like a blown speaker. The screen installation went perfectly. No problems. I just followed the instructions and it all went smoothly. But now the audio sounds awful. What’s going on?

I have good experience with microsoldering so replacing the connector on battery is not problem. Pinout is the same on both batteries. The only difference is size which is not a problem and capacity so the question is will the iPhone 6 battery work with iPhone 6S if I replace the connector on battery? What data is iPhone reading from the battery?

iPhone 6s: Using replacement battery kit on phone identified as water damaged

I’m interested in using iFixit’s battery replacement kit for my iPhone 6s. When I took it to Best Buy for the $29 deal last year, they refused to do the service based on the water damage indicator showing pink (I dropped it in the river for a couple of seconds about 1.5 years ago).

I’ve never had any issues stemming from the water damage (that I know of), but my battery could use replacement. My question is whether or not it’s a good idea to use this kit to do it myself. I’ve seen other posts that recommend doing a good cleaning using isopropyl alcohol before battery replacement. Given that I’m completely new to any phone repair, is it worth buying the kit? Any risk of me catching my phone on fire? Battery health maximum capacity is at 83%. Thanks for any advice.

iPhone 6s: After screen replacement, the screen is black

I recently replaced my screen for my iphone 6s but the screen is black. I did not remove the battery when replacing it but i did shut the phone off. I did notice a small puff of smoke coming out those ribbon cables when connecting the 3 cables back to the actual phone. I tried to put the old screen back but that did not work either, is there anything i can do to fix this?

iPhone 6s: Will replacing my screen also fix my backlight?

My phone received some water damage and at first there was just some bright and dark spots on the screen, it was still usable. Now the backlight has completely shut off and only turns on for a split second when my phone is booting up to show the apple logo. I have to use a flashlight now to be able to see my screen (barely). If I replace my phone screen would this fix my issue?

I buyed used iphone 6S and it was on factory settings. Now i try to activate it, and it says only DEVICE UNKNOWN after wifi set. I replaced charging port and it still wont charge. When i try to put sim-card it only flashes the pincode settings and then disappears. And i cant go recovery mode, because phone does not recognize lightning cable. What i can do?

iPhone 6s: Home Button became unresponsive, just opened the phone up.

So I had something in my Auxiliary port, I smacked my phone a couple times. After that my home button started acting unresponsive. I lived with it for a couple days and finally decided to open my phone and see what’s up.

I fix phones like almost every day so I figured maybe it was just the connection. Opened it up and saw a screw missing that holds down one side of the bracket. I put one in that I had in my toolbox, finally found one that fit good.

Now, my home button only works sometimes on the lock screen and not at all on the home screen. I’m about to open it up again and recheck everything but yea would love some advice.

iPhone 6s: Why is my iPhone 6s screen only displaying a few seconds aft restart?

I just replaced the screen and the battery to no avail. I was having issues getting the charging port to work originally(few days before), then it did this. After hard reset the screen comes up then disappears a few moments later, no indicator as to why. I noticed once it went off when the raise to activate turned on so I turned that off, still has the same issue. Also weird I don’t see a boot logo. My phone wasn’t turning on at all until I noticed the connector next to the battery came loose. I only see two water sensor stickers and neither are colored nor do I have a reason to suspect water damage. Thanks for any ideas, theories, or assistance

Hi! I’ve been Stocking up iPhone screens in case clients want thier screen replaced. Now I want to test these displays to make sure thier not defective. I don’t have a logic board or any iPhone 6s lying around to test them with. So how do I test them without the logic board. Is there a testing pad I can buy for several models?

iPhone 6s: iPhone is not recognized by pc

Every time I connect my iPhone to my windows pc, a popup message appears saying that the device is not recognized, meaning that I can’t do ANYTHING with it on the pc. It doesn’t show up in iTunes nor the file explorer and in device manager it’s shown as unknown device with a yellow exclamation mark next to it (going to the properties tab, it says “a request for the usb device descriptor failed). The iPhone doesn’t even charge when connected to the computer. I’ve tried different cables and different computers, but the error persists. The device is new, and this problem actually occurred for the first time a few months ago, but I was able to fix it using CopyTrans Driver installer. Before, and after that, it was working perfectly. This time however, NOTHING works. Uninstalling and reinstalling the device drivers didn’t work, nor did reinstalling iTunes. Windows troubleshooter doesn’t work either. What can I do? Can someone please help me? It’s very important to me and I would really appreciate it if someone helped.

I have been using iphone 6s for more than two years , when apple released new Battery Health Beta feature in iPhone i did not know much about it. Recently i came to know about this feature from a casual talking with my friends, so i tried to check it out. unfortunatley it did not work on my iphone 6s. I tried restoring via itunes but my try was in vain. So please guys can anyone help me with this error?… I am also attaching the error screenshot which i am seeing whenever i am opening battery health beta option in settings. i hope you guys will figure it out for me ….

iPhone 6s: Phone went through the wash, what kind of isopropyl alcohol do I need?

So, I read one of the guides on how to repair an iPhone 6s that went through the wash, and it says I need to use 90% isopropyl alcohol to clean the circuit boards inside. Will 70% work, as that is what most people will have for medical reasons? Thanks.

iPhone 6s: Font/Rear Camera and Flashlight does not work.

About a year ago, out of the blue my cameras and flashlight stopped working. It does not work with FaceTime, I’ve tried factory resetting my phone as well to no avail. All that shows up on the camera is a black screen.

iPhone 6s: Screen replacement home button wobble

I am having an issue with the home button wobbling/sliding/sticking after replacing the screen on an iPhone 6s. I read the question ‘iPhone 6S home button "sticking" after screen replacement’, and it similar, but also different. If I tighten the screws on the plate that holds the home button in place, it makes it such that the button won’t depress. So, I loosened the screws and bent it a little and the button will depress, but it wobbles/slides around a bit. Now, if I put the screen back together all the way and tighten the screws that are by the lightning port, then the button becomes too tight again and won’t depress. Is it possible that the opening for the home button in the screen is too small (just a tiny bit)? If so, should I/can I enlarge the hole?

I am learning on old broken phones I have at home, and I ordered a screen from amazon which works perfectly and I can’t actually tell any difference, I successfully transferred the ambient light, front camera and the phone speaker which all work, but while transferring the home button the touchID function will not work - I’ve read a bit into it and understand that the cable can be easily ripped like paper, will replacing the home button fix the issue of touchID not working as the home button itself works.

After recent repair, the touch is sensitive. Intermittently scrolling will result in “clicking” on points and other times it is difficult to “click”.

iPhone 6s: No power and no charging

Hello, i have an iphone 6s water damaged that is not powering on and it is not charging.

I put the power supply on the battery connector and it is constantly taking 0.03A(motherboard tooked out of the case) and when i press the power button it takes 0.11A and it is not coming on.

Where should i check first? I have everything i need (power supply, hot air gun, soldering iron,etc.)
