iPhone 6s: iPhone 6s No Service But When Dial *#06# Showing IMEI Number

Hye I got an IPhone 6s for No Service issue. When dial *#06# showing perfect IMEI Number, also the setting showing IMEI and Modem Firmware Version.

No Water Damaged history on this board. I do a little diagnose around the U_WTR_RF showing good measurement (PP_1v0_LD09). I never see people are talking about this issue on the internet. Seems like this case are very rare.

Some people said I need to change the U_WTR_RF and some said U_BB_RF. How do I know which one should I start first ?

iPhone 6s: My iPhone 6s cant restore. Says verifying iPhone restore and wont go

So my iphone 6s was alright until a few days ago. While using messages, my phone just froze up. I waited for around 10 minutes until hard reseting it. After, it was stuck on the apple logo which i waited another hour to see what would happen. Then i put it into itunes for restore or update. I tried to restore it and it was stuck on verifying iphone restore for the whole time. I waited overnight to see what would happen. And when i woke up it was still there. I also used 3rd party software to try to see if it would work but nothing would work.

iPhone 6s: What components to swap from broken iPhone 6S logic board to a donor

I bought a cracked/bent Iphone 6S Unlocked GSM phone off someone who told me for certain the crack didn't effect the logic board. Well sure enough I crack it open and the logic board is snapped right under the SIM card.

So my question is if I bought a donor logic board off ebay with an icloud lock, what components/chips would I have to swap to make it LIKE the messed up phone I got.

I'm assuming if I knew what pieces store the IMEI information on the board and I swapped them, then it would make that 'new' logic board unlocked as well?

...BUT... if I did that would it also remove the icloud lock that was on that donor board? or is that on another separate component?

and lastly if the donor board has a lower GB storage than the broken unlocked phone, is it possible to swap that chip out without complications?

thanks in advance.

iPhone 6s: My iPhone 6s keeps shutting down when I perform two actions

My iPhone 6s keeps shutting down when I perform two actions:

1) When I try to make or receive a phone call, within 5 seconds, my phone shuts down and reboots.

- A small workaround solution that I have found for this, is to make phone calls via my bluetooth headset or my standard apple headphones. I can make and answers calls without any problems when I use this workaround solution. But if I answer the phone without a headset, the phone shuts down and reboots.

- One other small note, before my phone started to have this problem, I noticed that the proximity sensor was not recognizing when I put the phone up against my face. The screen would remain on.

2) When I try to use the camera my phone shuts down and reboots.

The phone shutdown and reboots every time I perform these actions. It doesn't matter if my phone is at 100% or 1%.

This is very frustrating! Any ideas or things I can try?

Repair options that I've seen on different forums that could be a potential solutions: replacing the battery and/or screen.

Things I have tried to resolve the issue:

- Soft reset

- Reset all settings

- Reset all content and settings

- Reset network settings

- I've removed and reinserted my sim card

- I've removed certain apps that I thought could be causing the problem

***I bought this phone used and it worked flawlessly for the first two months. I live in Guatemala and am using a local network here (Tigo). I first used it in the States over the holidays on the LTE network by H20 Wireless. Then I changed it over to the Tigo LTE network here in Guatemala. I don't think this info matters, but thought I would include it.

Thanks for any helpful info you can give me!!!

I have some cracks and missing glass towards the bottom of my screen, and I would like to replace my battery. When I open the iPhone, will the screen fall apart if I melt the adhesive and use a sludge/pick around the edge rather than a suction cup?

I do plan on fixing the screen however iFixit has been out of stock for screens for a while. I usually have sticky tape over the cracks to prevent more glass from falling out of moisture entering the phone.

iPhone 6s: Why does my battery drain fast even after replacing the battery?

My iPhone 6S has been draining very fast the past few months so I decided to buy a battery off of eBay (good seller, good ratings) and replace it. There were no hiccups in the repair process, no cables were damaged. When I plugged it in and charged it to 100% today, it still drained very fast with minimal usage. I don’t pull my phone out at school at all and I started the day out with 100%. After 7 hours my phone was down to 3%. Keep in mind I don’t pull my phone out a lot in school. In the battery tab of my settings, the apps look normal with my social media apps taking ~25%. However, when I see the time stamps, there are only about 30 minutes of use on them(active and background). I installed Battery Life Doctor on my phone to monitor the battery health and it says the new battery is fully healthy at 1715 mAh. On the estimate for how much time I have left until my battery runs out, it says a little less than 10 hours, but my battery decays very fast. It will jump from 7:30 remaining to 7:10 remaining in a matter of a few seconds. How do I troubleshoot this?

iPhone 6s: 3D Touch on replacement screen

Hello Ifixit! My question is that if your replacement screens have the same 3D Touch feature on them. I always use that feature on my phone and well I think it’s very useful. Another question by the way, also related to the screen, is that what do you think...should I replace my screen because I have like white splotches on it. So like when I open an app like YouTube with its white background I can see them much more than on a dark background. One more thing is that well I don’t think it’s water damage because in Apple website they say it’s more of some foreign thing intruding the LCD. Also what do you think is causing this? Should I replace?

iPhone 6s: iPhone missing recovery mode, just Apple logo than backlight

Hello, I have a ln unusual problem with iPhone 6s.

It stuck on using and turned off. After trying to turn it on, apple logo appears and then just black screen with backlight on.

When I’m trying to go into recovery mode, it shows just black screen with backlight on.

I tried going into DFU and it success. iTunes sees it and starting to restore, on iPhone appears Apple logo with progress bar, but it won’t start filling and iTunes gets an error 6.

Tried with 2 laptops and 1 pc and 3 usb cables but get the same error.

Tried with 3utools and it starts recovering in DFU, but than it shows an error like “A problem when going from DFU into Recovery mode”.

So I’m guessing that it lost Recovery mode somehow or there is a problem with some components on the motherboard.

Anyone had similar problem?

EDIT: The new information that may be useful is that I tried with another fully charged battery from another working phone and got the same error when restoring, but when I put back that second battery in the working phone, it shows like it’s empty at first, then put it to the charger and the working phone turned on and showed full battery like it was.

iPhone 6s: Why do I have to hard reset my phone to get it to charge?

I bought a phone in pretty bad shape from my friend and it needed a new screen and battery. I got on ebay and ordered a new screen and battery. The old bad battery wasn't that bad but it drained fast and i had to plug it in to the charger and then hold the power and home buttons to get it to hard reboot and then it would charge. I was excited for my new battery for the reason i wouldn't have to do this anymore. The new battery drained at first until i broke it in i guess but i still have to hard reboot it to get it to charge, and sometimes when i just plug it in and not reboot it and unplug it it will still say the phone is charging for a few seconds.
