iPhone 6: How to get iCloud email?

I just got a iCloud locked, not stolen or lost, iPhone 6 from a pawn shop on eBay with a cracked LCD and screen. I am not sure if it has a passcode, if it doesn't i could go into settings and just check on the iCloud tab. If it has a passcode, how could I get the email? Or could I use 3utools somehow to get it?

iPhone 6: Recovering data stored on NAND chip on iPhone 6

Hi,

In order to recover data stored on the NAND chip of an iPhone 6 motherboard is it enough to desolder the NAND chip and solder it onto a donor board. I am wondering if some additional chip like the CPU, might also need to be swapped. Does anyone have any experience doing this? Any opinions for what to watch out for would be appreciated. We are very skilled at the physical desolder / solder process.

iPhone 6: Touch ID not working after screen replacement.

Any one experiencing Touch ID not working on iphone 6 after a screen replacement since IOS 10 was released.

I have replaced 100's of screen with no issues with the touch ID. I have now done two iphone 6 with IOS 10 on them and both have non-functioning touch ID. This look like it might be a similar issue as last year with error 53.

Hi.

I have an iPhone 6 in for a screen replacement. I had two screen left, but i´ve had an issue with both.

First I tried the screens without reassembling the small parts (camera, LCD shield plate ect), and it worked fine.

When i reassembled the small parts it just have backlight. Works fine if I connect the old screen

Also: the phone will not turn on when the new screen connected. But if the phone is powered on and I connect it, I get the backlight..

This happend to both.. Can´t see any damage on the flex cables.

I´ve done alot of iPhone repairs, so I´m not a newbie :p

Hope someone can help me understand what happened/what went wrong :p

iPhone 6: Home Button Unresponsive After Water Damage?

My Iphone 6 had recently suffered water damage. The water damage came from an accidental drop into the pool. I did the rice trick and after about 5 days it worked. But, the home button doesn't work. However, it does respond after a few minutes. I have done my research and am recently trying an alcohol trick. I used a cotton ball with a dab of rubbing alcohol and pressed on my home button with a circular motion. I was told that the rubbing alcohol dries up the water, therefore contributing to my thoughts of clearing up any leftover water damage. After this, I have chosen to put it in rice for another day. Any ideas on what I could do, if this doesn't work, without going on the inside of the Iphone?

I am getting unknown error 56 on an iPhone 6. I have used three different computers. I changed out the screen on this phone but I did retain the same home button. The phone was working perfectly fine up until trying to upgrade to 10.2. Thanks for any help.

iPhone 6: How do I fix a broken ribbon cable?

I was replacing the battery in my sons iPhone 6 and one of the ribbon cables has a tear in it. Now the home button will not work and the touch screen will not work. When I look on eBay the front screens only have 2 connectors not the 4 that I disconnected when I was replacing the battery. What do I need to get to fix this?

iPhone 6: Unresponsive/laggy touch screen after replacing front assembly

I recently replaced the front assembly/screen on my iPhone6 and have been having some issues with the touch screen. The digitizer becomes unresponsive or lags behind touch input.

keyboard buttons don't fire (especially keys at the edge of the screen)
Keys will lag and then fire multiple times (e.g., Backspace key will start deleting text long after I attempted to remove characters)
Scroll becomes jittery and/or completely unresponsive

Locking and unlocking the screen when the touch screen starts to act up has no effect
Restarting the phone has also been unsuccessful in fixing the problem, as the behavior returns shortly after boot
reinstalling iOS (thought it might have been a software bug)
reinstalling the front assembly; disconnecting and reconnecting the cables

Should I attempt to clean up the cables with rubbing alcohol to remove any oil that might have gotten inside the phone during installation?

Is there any app that I can use to see how my phone is registering touch events?

Any other ideas on how to troubleshoot this issue?

when i type *#06# iphone won't show IMEI

but when i go in settigns>genera>about IMEI is there

i have no service issue

i have tried to restore it but it won't work

i have heated the IMEI ic and it worked for 1 week and then same problem

i changed the IMEI power managmet ic but same problem , i know its not the fault of IMEI ic because it shows imei in settings

I have the error 9 when i restore my iPhone after a changement of battery and an upgrade.

I had some progress when i disconnected the lcd, the restoration went further but it stope also.

Does there's something else to disconnect ?

okay I got a 6 that had water damage, removed shorted caps etc. Board looks very good, but it is missing Q1403. When plugged in, the cpu heats up a bit but that's it. I was thinking q1403 reported the battery voltage, and if its not there it would probably show 0% but I could be totally wrong. Could I get this board to fire up without it? I tried to source this ic from another board but I was taking it off a board and then dropped the ic on a carpet floor, then I ran out of donor boards. anywahy, what does it do and can it work without it?

My phone has a strange problem. When I video call with FaceTime, the other side can hear me. When I use another app like Whatsapp or Messenger, and I call with video, the other side can't hear me. The mic is not working.

my iPhone 6 had battery problems like most iPhones these days battery percentage was all over the place jumping up and down for example from 40 to 5 % after suffering that for many months now I decided to have the battery replaced so I changed the battery at a repair shop yesterday not at apple cuz I don't have official apple stores where I'm at , now since morning my phone started suddenly restarting and stuck in boot loops for minutes then powering on , but as soon as I start using it , it goes in boot loop again and so on , when connected to a power source it's working fine , once disconnected the same happens, any idea of what the problem is ?

iPhone 6: iPhone 6 sim not reading

I'm working on an ip6 that has had one LCI triggered next to the sim slot. Anyways it is not reading any sims, the slot doesn't look damaged. ideas?

I'm stuck on the activation page. Anyway to activate it without a sim?

iPhone 6: How to test if the Tristar has failed or the battery

just thought i would share with you a simple way to test if your charging fault is (board related) or (battery related) this test is simple and accurate.

start the phone and open up a app or menu to activate the wake up

now unplug the battery.

if the phone stays on then the tristar high speed switch is good as its switched to main voltage through the charger. the fault will then be in the battery.

if it powers off then the fault is in the tristar.

for fake charging the tigris ic will be the cause.

I do not reassembly old phone. I have ordered each part one by one. So now I have screws but I do not know the right place for them. I want to assembly new iPhone 6. Does someone knows the right size for every single screw that goes in iPhone 6?
