iPhone 5c: Proximity sensor not working after screen replacement

Hello.

I have replaced my mom's screen on her iPhone 5c as a Mother's Day present, and both her and I are happy with the results. Anyways, for the past 4 days, my mom told me that when she's on a call, she accidentally presses button not the call menu (mute, dial pad, end button, etc). When she told me yesterday, I immediately knew that it was the proximity sensor, and I told her that was fixable. Earlier today, I opened up my mom's iPhone, and noticed the proximity sensor bracket on the original screen. I transferred that bracket to the new screen and put the iPhone back together. I called myself from her iPhone to test the sensor. The display turned off for like a second and it turned back on. It did that for like 3 times before the sensor wouldn't work anymore. Later on, like 3 hours later, I opened it up again and reseated the flex cable. I put the iPhone back together and it didn't work. 5 minutes later, I called myself again and the sensor was working! Then 20 minutes later, I called myself again to make sure that it was working again, but sadly it stopped working. I don't know what to do anymore to fix this. I kept looking online to fix this problem, and they didn't help. Right now the iPhone is functioning without the proximity sensor working.

Does anyone know a solution to fix this? It would be greatly appreciated!

I have an iphone 5c that has a completely shattered screen and it wouldn't let me swipe across to unlock the phone and the screen was red and black. I was wondering if it would cause my phone to crash after some months if I used my sisters screen with the lcd digitizer, camera, and earpiece still attached out of her phone? Will that mess the phone up or not?

iPhone 5c: Unresponsive Touch Screen After Replacement

My son dropped his phone. The glass had some small shattering in the upper left corner and the digitizer won't respond to touch. So I replaced the glass, LCD, and digitizer. It still won't respond to touch. The replacement screen has tested good.

Hey guys!

I figured I put this question out there but recently got a request to repair a blue iPhone 5c and the phone works fine, tower during calls as well at just in random occurrences, the phone will randomly continue to hit buttons like speakerphone or open apps. The home button has been replaced and the battery was replaced to my best knowledge. Any idea what it could be?

The touch screen on my 5c recently stopped working. The phone hadn't been dropped or anything. The screen would turn on when I press the lock or home button. When the screen would come on my notifications would be there but not fully. For example I would have a text message from "Dad" but instead of the name it just showed their number. A number that was in my contacts. I tried replacing the screen but still the same problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

iPhone 5c: Got my phone back from getting fixed, now the screen wont work

Recently i dropped my phone at a hospital and the screen shattered so i went to a local tech store and they fixed it up for me. Sadly about two hours later the screen turned black and wont seem to work, it still gets texts and calls, but the screen doesnt actually work. i dont know whats going on please help.

Hi everyone.

I bought a new vibrator for my iPhone 5c, since the original one wasn't working properly. To replace it, I removed the display and the battery, like in the guide we find here. The new piece didn't work. So I put the original back... and for my surprise, it didn't work as well. I bought a new vibrator and followed the same steps to replace it. Still, no life. Someone can understand what happened and what should I do? Thank you!

iPhone 5c: Battery Percentage is stuck when charging

Recently after updating my iPhone the percentage is stuck at a certain percentage and when you unplug the charger it will be at a different percentage and it's still frozen at the percentage , it only changes when you restart the phone and this will continue .

Also recently my iphone got water damange and the battery began to drain alot and to fix the soultion i bought a new battery im wondering if this is just a software update or has something to do with the water damage or new battery ?

iPhone 5c: Phone screen is darker overall

I dropped my phone on a tile floor and when I picked it up I noticed that the overall screen was darker. I tried turning my brightness up and down but it didn't work, I also tried changing the colours like inverting them and Turing on grayscale but it didn't work. Please help, it would be appreciated.

I can call people and I can hear them speaking but when I try and talk there is a lot of static and they can barley hear my voice. I try to talk to Siri but she cannot understand anything?

Hi Guys,

I have an iphone 5C, if connected on 3G/4G internet is working fine, but incoming calls are going straight to voicemail and I cannot call. If I change in the cellular network to 2G. Then the "phone" part of the iPhone is working fine but internet is extremly slow.

I have seen this issue on many forum but I did not find any real solution.

I have tried every solution, reset network settings, restore to default checked all option, restore the 8.3 original ipsw firmware,

changed the sim card with the one of an other provider...

Cant find anything.

Do you have an idea of which part is failing ?

iPhone 5c: Why won't iPhone 5c turn back on after turning off? Restored 3 times

The other day I switched my phone off and it wouldn't turn back on. I tried leaving to charge, hard reset, nothing worked. There was no apple logo just a completely black screen. I put it into recovery mode and connected it to iTunes where I restored everything. I then thought the phone would be fine, but once I turned it off or the battery ran out I had the exact same problem - the phone is completely dead and won't turn back on unless I go through the whole process. I really don't know what to do or what is wrong with the phone. Please can anyone help?
