So, I bought this phone with a box to replace an iPhone 12 that's nearing the end due to a worn battery and intermittent partial display issues. The seller said it has 100% original Apple parts. I did get this message on the phone, but my True Tone and Face ID still work like it doesn't have a third-party display.

Is this a point of concern, or am I better off just accepting that my "new" phone has a third-party display? The 512GB 14 Pro cost me $578. Even on the latest iOS release, it still takes well to the screen.

iPhone 14 Pro: Cameras not working after screen replacement

I had to replace my phone screen at a mall repair kiosk today after I dropped it. Everything seems normal except for the notification shown in the picture and the camera. It shows as a black screen and is completely nonfunctional. The strange thing is that if I open the camera on other apps it works fine on the selfie camera! When I try to switch to the back camera it freezes up. I’ve gone through all the fixes for a black camera screen and nothing worked. It’s updated to the latest iOS, I’ve restarted it, and even reset all settings. The camera isn’t broken because it works on other apps… what could be causing this and how do I fix it? Very frustrating!

I am trying to ask my question again in a different way.

I cleaned the speaker and microphone of my iPhone 14 Pro using compressed air. Unfortunately, after doing this, the bottom microphone stopped working for phone calls. I have performed all the necessary software tests for troubleshooting and resolving the issue.

The microphone works correctly during video calls. There is also no problem when using a headset. However, it does not work when recording an audio file, and during voice calls, when the phone is held to the ear, the other party cannot hear me.

I could not find anything or any place to take a photo that would be related to this issue.

I would greatly appreciate your help with this matter.

I have a iphone 14 pro and suddenly the esim option is greyed out. IMEI is being shown in settings and baseband looks like working since faulty baseband will show empty imei. Anyone came across this issue ?

My iphone 14 pro had some water damage, where the cameras were foggy for about a week but the phone was functioning normally before I also got the rainbow screen of death. The screen is totally unviewable, but the phone still turns on and I’m getting my alarms and notifications. I’m wondering how likely this is just a screen issue and a screen replacement will fix it, even temporarily, or if the water likely damaged the logic board and it’s past repairing at all. The battery is working and it seems the water damage mostly affected the camera area.

iPhone 14 Pro: Unable to determine if battery is a genuine part -- Is it a problem?

I replaced the battery with an iFixit part. I get a message "Unable to determine if your iPhone battery is a genuine apple part". There is no way to "Restart & Finish Repair".

The phone seems to work well. In battery settings, it says that the capacity is 100%, but the "peak performance capability" is unkown.

Will this affect the use of the phone in any way, or can I just ignore it?

I replaced the front camera and the repair assistant can’t calibrate new camera assembly, lost FaceID and front camera not working, black screen and camera app crash, iOS 18.5. If I put the original back on, there’s isn’t a calibration needed and everything works back again, the repair is for a damaged lens of the front camera.

I have recently noticed that back glass replacements come with just black paint over the lidar sensor place, which seems weird.. Could there be any kind of film or vinyl that I could put there between instead?

As you can see, there is no light coming thru.

Hello,

I recently purchased a replacement battery for my 14 pro. I'm using the provided suction cup and a hairdryer. After removing the 2 screws, I tried heating the bottom edges multiple times, providing constant pressure, slightly pulling up and down, and also heating while pulling on the display.However I could not get the display to budge enough to get the pick inside. Anyone have this problem, and any tips for the next time try?
