iPhone 5: Microphone quiet/muffled when using front-facing video

Hi All! What does it mean when the microphone works fine when using the back video camera, but when you switch to the front camera the microphone input is quiet and muffled?

If you Google the issue it's apparent that lots of people have experienced this, but there doesn't seem to be a clear solution.

I'm trying to fix my iphone when i connect it to itunes , it says you must restore , it stops at the begging with error code 35 ( Unkown Error)

iPhone 6: iPhone 6 died at 100%, while charging and wont turn back on!

Hey I'm new to the ifixit forum and I need all of the help I could get.

My iPhone 6 died while it was getting charged by my Imac. It was at a 100% percent and it just suddenly died. It wasn't hot or anything I was just browsing social media.

And yes I tried DFU/recovery mode. The phone isn't frozen it's completely off, I also tried charging it more and trying to start it but nothing is working. Why would it die at 100%? Over charging?

iPhone 1st Generation: Error code number 23 when trying to restore iPhone?

Ok, so I asked about this iPhone before I received it. When I got it, I plugged it into the wall and I got was the Apple emblem with a black background. So I plugged it into itunes, it downloaded the software, then when it tried to restore it, it said an unknown error occurred. Number 23 to be exact. I also want to add that there is a gray line across the screen on the bottom..? Bad logic board or is there something else I can try first?

iPhone 5: iPhone is disabled in 46 years

iphone 5G 32GB, from os 9.3.2 and updated to os 10.0.2, ive been trying this step twice https://support.apple.com/en-bn/HT205248 (If you changed the date to May 1970 or earlier and can’t restart your iPhone),it was updating iphone os with itunes, and when the update is complete iphone still disabled, without emergency call, just black screen and this, iphone is disabled try again in 46 years, 9 months, 1 day, 50 minutes. and in the itunes said "iTunes could not connect to the iphone "igfados" because it is locked with a passcode. you must enter your passcode on the iphone before it can be used with iTunes. how am i supposed to type the passcode if the iphone is disabled? is there any way to fix it without erasing the data? theres a lot important thing on my iphone, please help me quickly to fix this, thanks for your attention.

ps:

it happen to me since i remove the iphone battery,

before it was updated, it says iphone is disabled try again in 24 million minutes,

the iphone is not in jailbrake,

maybe if iphone is jailbroken i could fix with it with ssh over usb,

and please give me an advice what should i do to prevent any problem coming,

iPhone 6s Plus: Compass and Auto-Rotate malfunction after screen replacement

Hey there,

Yesterday replaced my cracked screen and all went well except one thing, when I boot for the first time noticed that the screen won't "raise to wake" and I started searching for solutions, found out that my motion sensor won't work (auto rotate doesn't work) and my compass is stuck at 0º.

I am writing to you in hope that you have a solution, all the other iPhone functions like front facing camera and proximity sensor are working fine. Sporadically the screen wakes when I lift my phone but it happens 1 time in 100..

Help is much appreciated

SOLVED

Checked if the flex shield was the problem and the rotation was working with it, when I was closing the phone installed the battery conector shield and that was the problem, without the shield the compass is working fine!

Problems have returned..

Shacky icons all the time, shaky video capturing, leveller always moving, raise to wake working inconsistently

After a hard reboot all is okay.. few minutes later the problem returns..

iPhone 5: Erratic touch screen iPhone 5

I smashed the screen on my iphone 5 and therefore bought the complete front panel i.e glass, digitzer and LCD all in one unit. All i needed to do was take the microphone, ear speaker and front and back camera off the old unit, fix it to the new unit and put the phone back together. It was perfect for a few days but now the Screen behaviour is erratic. It is acting like i am touching the screen but i am not. Anyone know what the problem could be?

I replaced the battery and charging dock connector with parts from your website. For two weeks the phone was good as new...until today. I had 15% battery left one minute. Then the next my phone was dead and wouldn’t not turn back on or charge. What is going on with my phone? Please help

iPhone X: Used my iPhone X in the pool, now display wont work!

I have already tried rebooting it and what not but my display simply won't turn on. It just shows up as black. I already let my phone sit in a bag of rice overnight, anything I can do to fix this?

PS - the phone works, I can feel the vibrations when i tap the buttons in the lock screen.

iPhone: How can I charge a battery without the iPhone

Hello can anyone suggest how to charge an Iphone battery without putting it in the phone ? I need to charge quite a few at a time so I don't want to keep putting them in the phone. What would be my best option and what type of charger would I need and max voltage etc...

iPhone 7 Plus: How do I activate my iPhone

The iPhone had an Apple ID that was blocked so we couldn’t sign out and the owner of the Apple ID couldn’t remember the answers to security questions. So we tried 4ukey, which removed (?) the Apple ID, so we logged in to a new Apple ID.

The iPhone couldn’t detect a sim and was always on “Searching”, so we decided to update the iOS through OTA. We downloaded the file but it will give an error saying unable to install update.

So we erased the phone and set it back to factory settings. We got stuck at the setup screen where it will not activate iPhone after the join WiFi screen.

I then restored the iPhone to iOS 12.4 via 3utools, since iTunes was gave an error 3630 (which I later found it to be “failed to copy preflight options”.). The issue persisted and now, it’s still stuck at the the “Unable to Activate” screen but now it says “No Service” with a warning sign by it instead of “searching”.

Connecting to iTunes, it gives “The iPhone ‘iPhone’ could not be activated because the activation information could not be obtained from the device”

On the Device information (using 3utools), it says “Unable to Read Data” for both IMEI, Baseband Version and Primary Number and Brickstate is set to True.

I saw someone say that without IMEI, you cannot activate the iPhone. Is there a way around this?

iPhone 6s: Won't let me end calls

Hi my IPhone 6s has a problem where if I make a call the screen goes black, if I press the home button the screen come back on shortly but it won't let me end the call with the red end call on screen. I have to reset by holding down the power button and home. Everything else seems to work ok.

I got my iPhone 6S in January 2015. It is still working well except the battery, which I am going to replace.

I would like to know if in the past 2-3 years there have been some new batteries compatible with iPhone 6S with a higher density than the original one ?

iPhone X: Keranl panic no checkins from thermal sensor?

I’ve just completed a repair on a water-damaged iPhone X - everything seems fine except the phone is periodically rebooting (every 5 mins or so). Checking the device logs:

1 monitored services unavailable

com.apple.thermalmonitord unavailable (or words to that effect)

I assume from that there is a heat/thermal sensor in the phone that i’ve maybe not connected or another part that needs replaced. Any pointers to where that might be and what part I should try replacing?
