iPhone 7 Plus: Both Front and Rear Camera not working after screen replacement!

Alright guys. So I replaced a customers iPhone 7 Plus screen yesterday, pretty standard stuff. Took all the parts off his old screen and transferred them to a new screen. Seemed to be fine so I checked him out. He comes back into the store 5 minutes later and neither his front or back cameras show anything. Just black. The camera app fully loads and everything, just black. No errors or anything from the app. So I don't know what the problem could be, seeing as how they're in two completely separate parts of the logic board. Any help would be appreciated!! Thanks!

iPhone 4: iPhone 4 proximity sensor not working after replacing BLACK GSM

I own an iPhone repair store. I have done 100 or more iPhone 4 front glass assemblies. Those first 100 went on without a hitch. Now suddenly, in the last 3 months or so, 70% of my front assembly (screen, digi, LCD) repairs/replacements turn out great as usual, but the proximity sensor doesn't work. And I have ordered good quality glass from 2 of my suppliers.

I test all of the phones before I begin to make sure that they are working prior to my repair. Here is a scenario from today.

1. Test proximity sensor in customer's iPhone 4. Works fine.

2. Put mine in and test it. Does not work.

3. Put 3 more glass pieces on, but they do not work.

4. Put customer's broken piece back on to test (not broken in proximity area), and it works just fine.

Now, I have had this issue in the past and have examined my glass to no end. The proximity area of my aftermarket glass is just as dim as the OEM glass. And what's even stranger, is that I can put the glass that didn't work on another phone tomorrow, and there is an 80% chance that it'll work.

I have NO idea what is going on. The ONLY thing that I can think of is to get that little piece that separates the ambient light and the proximity sensor on the OEM glass and put it in there?

And is a sharpie gonna fix this issue?

I am TOTALLY lost at this point. What can I be doing wrong?

iPhone 4S: replaced screen - now it vibrates, but won't start up

I replaced screen, now phone will not start up, when i plug it in it vibrates continuously, but screen won't come on. iTunes recognises it. the power on/off button needs replacing, but did not affect operation previously to screen change (screen was cracked, but still working).

I have tried all connections 3 times and can't see anything wrong. I have tried 2 screens on the the first one did not work and i thought it was faulty, so I used another screen, I connected it all up to check the screen would work, before i screwed it all back together, it came on and worked fine, so I screwed it all down and now it won't work, just vibrates when plugged in.

iPhone 4: Why does the backlight flicker after screen repair

I do between 4 and 5 iPhone 4 and 4s screen repairs each week and have been running in to the same issue over and over. Before I do a repair, I test the screen that I am going to use for the repair with a tester cable and old iPhone. The screens appear to be fine when I run the test, but after I install them on the customers' phone sometimes the back light flickers. I try to be very careful with the digitizer and lcd flex cables, and have even started pre-bending them on the dotted lines assuming that I must be damaging them during installation, but they are still flickering. Has anyone else run in to this problem?

iPhone 6s: Put a iPhone 7 battery in iPhone 6S?

So seeing that the iPhone 7 has a new battery with a bit more power, it made me wonder if you could theoretically mod the 7 battery to work in a 6S?

I mean they both use 4 pin connectors? I would assume iOS could detect a 7 battery and use it correctly(charging , etc) but I don't know for sure.

As for the battery connector, maybe soldering is possible?

Funny thing is, that I cant put it into DFU (it seems), because the device is restarting too fast. After that I tried to take another Display (from my working device) but the problem is the same.

iPhone 4: Replaced iPhone4 battery. Now randomly restarts and battery % broken!

My wife's iPhone4 (AT&T) battery was draining very quickly so we bought a replacement through iFixIt.com. I followed the steps exactly, and thought I had performed the upgrade perfectly. Now we are running into issues.

First off, the battery % indicator doesn't seem to increase when on the charger. For example, my wife had 55% battery power when she went to sleep and put the phone on the charger. When she woke up, still 55%. She restarted the phone, which then dropped the battery level to 22% (even though it had been on the charger all night).

Now the phone is randomly restarting by going black, then immediately to the startup screen (white Apple logo). It restarts very often.

Obviously something is very wrong. Could it be that the battery we received was a lemon? I had no trouble with the installation. The phone does make and receive calls, when it's not randomly restarting.

I reinstalled the old "quick to drain" battery, and the problems stopped. The phone no longer randomly restarts, and the battery indicator level (%) does increase while being charged. It's looking like the new battery itself is the issue.

Please help! My wife can't live without her iPhone.

iPhone 4: How do I fix the broken prong on my battery connector?

So I noticed when I put my phone back together that everything worked fine, but the battery wouldn't charge.

After taking it apart and inspecting it, I noticed that where the battery pins make contact with the logic board have been damaged.

Specifically, where the four battery prongs are lightly soldered to the board, when I removed the battery, the solder connecting the pin to the board was so strong that instead of detaching from the little square on the board, it pulled the square up with it.

Short of buying a new logic board and battery, is there any way to re-connect this somehow? I can provide pictures if needed. Thank you for your help.

iPhone 5: Screen won't close tight after reassembly

Hi.

I've done some fixing on my iPhone 5, and followed the iFixit tutorial for that. I have reassembled my phone, after replacing the power and audio control flex cable, which means a lot of parts, including the logic board. Anyway, everything works fine now, but the device isn't closed tight enough, so the screen, on its upper part (near the power button), is protruding about 1.5mm up. I am aware that I should fit the screen in an order such that I first fit the upper part of it and only then the bottom, but once I fit the bottom, the upper part goes up a mm or so.

It's weird that once I fit the lower part of the screen this happens, because I never disassembled anything in the lower part of the device such as a speaker or anything, not even a single screw there was ever touched.

iPhone 7 Plus: iPhone 7 Plus - Front Camera + Proximity Sensor causing malfunctioning

I did a iphone 7 plus screen replacement today & for some reason the phone starts to malfunction everytime I have the Front Camera + Prox Sensor ribbon cable attached. When attached the phone lags, the home button does not work - it shows the accessibilty icon to use as a home button, and the phone acts very weird.

At first I thought it was the replacement screen but I replaced all the part on the original screen that was cracked & I am getting the same issues.

When I disconnect ONLY the Front Camera + Prox sensor Ribbon cable, leaving the two other ribbon cables connected the phone functions perfectly fine. Home button works again, screen is 100% responsive with no lag at all. The phone works perfect.

The issues only occur when I have front camera + prox sensor connected.

I tried the original screen that was cracked & two other replacement screens. All get the same results as I just listed.

As long as the front camera + prox sensor isnt connected the phone functions perfectly, cant find a problem.

Does anyone have a solution to this? Unfortunetley I was unable to try a new proximity sensor + front camera because I did not have any on me.

Has anyone else experienced this problem?

I have searched the web but cannot find a solution.

I disconnected the battery before I removed all 3 ribbon cables, as I do with every repair.

Hi, I've purchased a iPhone 4S off ebay with the aim of fixing it. It is in great condition inside and out, however won't turn on or boot and there is no display. When plugged into the wall socket it just makes the charging chirp sound over and over again, but that is all. When plugged into a computer it does nothing, no show in iTunes. All the seller was able to say was that he tried to fix the screen and it worked before that, but couldn't get it to work properly after that. Any ideas what could be wrong, what needs to be replaced? If it was just a faulty screen shouldn't the phone still charge and why is it making the constant sound?
