Top load washer model # WTW5005KW 0. Ticking/clicking sound occurs during the Wash/Rinse cycle. Could this be an agitator issue? I don’t hear the water jerking back and forth during these cycles.

2 year old Whirlpool wtw5000 top loader.

Washer washes, rinses and drains fine, water pumps out like crazy. It's spins. I'm not sure how it's supposed to spin compared to our old style washer. It spins stops , pumps some water, spins and stops pumps some water and then it's done. But there's still some water down below and clothes are sopping wet? The darn thing takes so long to do a load of clothes I've never really paid attention to what it does and when. So everything seems normal except the clothes are wet.

Whirlpool Washing Machine: Washer completes cycle but restarts cycle shortly after completion

I have a Whirlpool cabrio WTW5500BW0 washer. I live in an apartment complex and the maintenance team is too busy to help me. I can’t hire outside vendors to take a look at this for me so I’m forced to tackle this issue myself.

My washer will complete a wash cycle (doesn’t matter what kind it does this for every cycle setting) and then shortly after completion if I don’t take the clothes out and power off the washer it will resume the cycle again. I’ve read up on this and I think it might be in some sort of diagnostic mode but I don’t know how to even enter diagnostic mode.

Maytag or Whirlpool Centennial washer: Washer sounds like it keeps running after final spin

After finishing all it's wash cycles, it sounds like it keeps running. It's motor sound that could be the pump but doesn't sound like it's from there necessarily . It will stop for a few seconds if I turn the agitator, but then continues until I unplug it. When I plug it in again the noise starts up after a short while. Tried recalibrating.

Update (03/16/25)

Last night the washer ran through the wash cycle then shut off without entering a rinse. After that I tried to do a rinse and spin cycle, but the pump wouldn't stop running so unable to fill th tub. Then tried to start a new washing, but the pump just kept running and wouldn't allow it to fill. Gave up and went to bed.

Whirlpool Washing Machine: Whirlpool Washer water is always hot

We were given an older whirlpool washer. We replaced the hoses when we hooked up the machine. The water is always hot. There is water being pulled from both the hot and cold hoses. If I set the washer to COLD it stops, nothing happens. If I set it to COOL nothing happens. If I set it to WARM it will start filling and then I can switch it to COOL, but regardless it is always hot water even if it is pulling from both hoses.

This Whirlpool is older and it doesn’t have a computerized screen or anything.

Does anyone happen to know what is going on? Because of this issue we went through 100 gallons of oil in 2 months, which is really bad for us. I really want a way to wash in cold water. It has come to a finacle point that is is cheaper to go to a laundry mat or someones home than use our oil to wash clothes. 5 kids here, really need a working washer!

Whirlpool Washing Machine: Where to find parts diagram for model LHA780

I have an older top loader whirlpool washer model LHA7800N1.

It won't agitate or spin, does fill and drain. Lid switch checks out OK. Motor and belt check out OK. Not sure about solenoids. I get of reading of 60 ohms for each wig-wag solenoid with power off.

Agitator tower spins freely without turning the tub with power off. I imagine this means a part is broken between the agitator and tub , maybe more.

I'm looking for a parts diagram to see if there is a coupling or other part between the transmission and tub which may have broken.
