iPad 4 Wi-Fi: Touch screen not working after replacement, am I missing something?

My front glass was smashed and the touchscreen wasnt working- not suprising. But now I replaced the front panel and no touchscreen. Actually I'm at the stage of testing to make sure new one off ebay works. lcd works fine as does home button. This is the first time ive replaced a screen on ipad and I feel like it may be something very obvious. I havent removed the glass protector and I didnt clean/ scrape offthe black foamish looking stuff around lcd. Is there something simple or otherwise that could make the touchscreen not respond?

iPad 3 4G: After battery replacement IPAD restarts every 2-3min

Hello,

After I replaced battery on my IPAD 3 (4G), currently I experience issue with it since it restarts itself every 2-3min.

I read the other forum topics and understood that the problem might be due to a fake battery but I bought another battery and tried with it. Unfortunately the results was the same - IPAD restarts in every 2-3min.

In general, when the IPAD is switched on, it searches for mobile network, while it is connected to WI-FI and after it can not find any network, it restarts. This trend is based on my observation and it does not matter if there is SIM card inserted or not.

My concern is related that the IPAD can not detect the 4G module correctly, it is connected to the mother board but still it is strange.

Would you please be able to suggest any solutions for this issue? It will be very helpful because at the moment, it is useless like that.

Thank you.

iPad 6 Wi-Fi: iPad 6 screw set.. help!

Purchased an iPad 6 in a partial state of repair, and it’s missing the four #00 4.3mm screws holding down the LCD, one #000 2.3mm for the battery connector, and three #000 1.4mm screws for the display bracket. I have been searching for hours online for a screw set and I totally can’t find it for the 6 or 5, and earlier models don’t have the right screws. Does anyone know where I could source a set or find more specific dimensions for these screws (thread length/width)? Much appreciated.

iPad 2 Wi-Fi EMC 2415: Completely dead iPad, not in itunes

Got an iPad in for a client, she smashed the digitizer a while ago and muddled on for a bit, but she said it wasnt coming on all the time and she was having to do hard resets to switch it on until eventually it just stopped coming on.

I have it today and have tried hard resets, DFU mode, itunes doesn't see it. It shows up as an unknown device in device manager in win7, but nothing in xp. Nothing flashes on screen, nothing happens at all.

I opened it and took the logic board connectors off the batteries, left it off for half an hour to see if that would do anything & nope, nothing.

I cannot think of anything else to try at all. I dont really want to start ordering random parts at this stage, but I wondered if it could be the power button, but that wouldnt affect it showing up in itunes etc.

Any ideas will be greatly appreciated!

iPad 2 GSM: Touch Screen Not Responding

I repair Devices on a daily basis. I have run into a problem that I cannot identify. I replaced the touch screen on a Ipad 2 A1395. After replacing the touch screen, I boot up the device and the touch screen will allow me to slide to open, after that, there is no response from the screen. When it goes to sleep, I can wake it up using the Home button but still no response. I have disconnected the battery, disconnect the Touch screen, re attach the touch screen, reconnect the battery and repeat power up but still no luck. I have restored the device and still no luck. I only get a temporary touch response. I have tried 3 new screens and all display the same problem. I have had the Digitizer FPC connectors replaced thinking maybe it was the connectors but still the same problem. Has anyone encountered this problem before? Also, I have noticed I cannot wake the Device with the power button but I can get it to power up and show the power off slide bar but since the touch screen does not work I cannot power it off without disconnecting the battery.

Thanks,

iPad 3 Wi-Fi: Darkness on left side of LCD screen

I have just replaced the digitiser on an ipad 3rd generation.

The unit had been dropped and when I removed the cracked glass there were two of the zif connectors locking bars loose in the case.

I replaced the glass put everything back and turned the unit on, it works fine except there is a dark band down the left side of the screen, when i rotate the unit the dark band is evident.

iPad 2 GSM: Connect to itunes after screen replacement?

Hello all,

I've replaced the digitizer and LCD on many iPads before. But today when I replaced a digitizer, I was greeted with no backlight after screen replacement. After I power cycled it, the backlight was working but it was stuck on an Apple logo before finally showing connect to iTunes.

iPad 2: Screen replacement -- can I do this myself?

The guys who have a free computer clinic at my library told me they could fix it and advised me to order it from iFixit which I did and it arrived in two or three days. But when I brought it to them, they now said they weren't able to do it because they didn't have a way to "heat" up the old one to get the old screen off.

I called several computer places around me who said they don't do it; they send it out for $130 but would not use my screen I bought from iFixit.

I'm pretty handy, have the new screen and can follow directions. I've seen a few you tubes on how to do this.

iPad 3: iPad touch screen failed due to logic board?

Hi,

A friend gave me her iPad to fix after the digitizer stopped responding. Everything else seems to work fine. The first few times it came back after putting it in Recovery Mode. Finally that stopped working so I did a Total Restore. Now it's stuck on the "Hello" screen and won't go any farther without a swipe.

I took it apart and there were no loose or cracked cables or connectors, so I ordered a replacement digitizer. Replacing the digitizer, and inserting the cable until the white line was gone, had no effect. LCD and all buttons seem to work fine. Is it possibly a logic board issue?
