<title><![CDATA[Brother MFC-3240C: Printer won't print in black]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>This printer is about 3yrs. old.  I've tried all the cleaning tips the manual suggests, still nothing.</p>

<p>Is there anyone who has a tip and or trick to fixing this?   I've replaced the black cartridge several times.</p>

<p>I bought a case of ink for the printer so I'd like to be able to use it up!! Thanks.</p>

<title><![CDATA[Epson Printer: Epson Printer NX510 Error message: "A printer error has occurred..."]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>I got this error message when I turned my printer on:  &quot;A printer error has occured. Turn off the printer, then press On button to turn On. See your documentation&quot;.</p>

<p>I did take a look and they say to verify there is no paper jam, which is the case here and then to call the Epson support centre, what I did.</p>

<p>The answer I got from the guy I spoke to is to send it to an authorized repair centre as there is nothing he could do over the phone. It seems it is a mechanical problem, but I wondered how much the repair will cost (probably more than what I paid for the printer...), so the technician offered me a big $30 discount to buy a new printer on their website...</p>

<p>Did someone get the same problem and fixed it? If yes could you please tell me what you did?</p>

<title><![CDATA[Brother MFC-240C: Colour cartridges full but not printing]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>I've been using this Brother MFC for some time and I've been quite happy with it.</p>

<p>About a year ago I noticed that colour images would only print black and white.</p>

<p>My settings are to full colour. The cartridges are full and in good condition according to the ink refill place.</p>

<p>Not sure what else is going wrong.</p>

<p>Actually, I updated the question to reflect the proper model is all.</p>

<p>I regularly  hear the printer doing the automatic head cleaning.</p>

<p>I just wonder if it's possible to submerge those bits in rubbing alcohol or some other non-water source to remove clogs/build up.</p>

<title><![CDATA[Epson WF-3620: Why does vertical line appear on documents using ADF as source]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>If I copy from the flatbed everything works fine.  However if I copy or scan using the ADF, then a black vertical line appears down the center of the output document.</p>

<p>I wonder if there is dust or dirt in the ADF causing the line to appear,  if so where can I find instructions for opening and cleaning ADF.</p>

<title><![CDATA[Canon Printer: Service code reset procedures]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>i have a S900 that had a Waste Ink Tank error indicated. I replaced the waste ink pads and now I cannot get the eprom to reset. When I turn it on the indicator light goes green then flashes 7 times.</p>

<p>The reset procedure is invloved and I think that may be why I haven't been able to get it reset.</p>

<title><![CDATA[HP Photosmart: Photosmart 7510e - Paper not feeding automatically, Will feed Manually]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>With paper in the printer &quot;No Paper Error&quot; keeps coming up. When the printer status page it printed the feed rollers move down to the paper however they do not roll or move at all to pull the paper through the printer. All of the additional rollers after the feed rollers are working properly because when you push just one sheet of paper through the feed rollers the second rollers will grab the paper and pull through the duplexer rollers.</p>

<p>I am looking for a guide to the teardown process to get to the feed rollers to see if a gear is broken.</p>

<title><![CDATA[Epson ET-4550: Epson ECO TANK "inkpad" requires replacing. How to?]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>Epson uses an &quot;inkpad&quot; to clear its printer (jets?) before printing.   Eventually the amount of ink deposited in this blotter-type system fills and must be replaced.  Unfortunately it seems as if replacing the inkpad is very messy and difficult.  Our printer is used so frequently that the inkpad needs to be replaced every six months.</p>

<p>Epson charges enough to make replacing the entire unit a (sadly) reasonable option.  Your opinion?  Are HP printers a better option since both use 4800 dpi printing?  (The HP cartridges are expensive - sigh.)</p>

<description><![CDATA[<p>I had a very frustrating problem with my printer - I think actually a firmware bug from Epson.  It would go back and forth between saying Replace Ink Cartridges and another error about invalid ink cartridge detected.   There is a lock where you cannot open the top unless it gets out of this state but it was stuck in that state.</p>
