PlayStation 5: Why is my console not recognising my PS5-compatible M.2. SSD?

I have a Corsair MP600 Pro LPX which I have tried installing in my PS5. I followed Corsair's own guide to install the drive (more or less identical to iFixit's guide), but when I boot up my console, the PS5 doesnt recognise that there is an SSD connected.

One issue I noticed is that there never was any "springy-ness" when the drive is connected - it just lies flat in the SSD bay.

Do I have a broken SSD-slot, a defective M.2. SSD, or have I missed something?

PlayStation 5: 100V ~ 3.55A 50/60MHz input Playstation 5 for 220v plugs

long story short, I live in Argentina, I got myself a Ps5 from Japan (CFI-1200A), voltage input is 100V ~ 3.55A 50/60MHz, electricity here runs at 220v 50Hz.... can I plug it to the wall? Seller says yes, internet says mixed responses, what should I do?

EDIT:

So, after comunicating with Sony Japan (which was a tedious task due to having to use google translator since no english speaking employee was present at the time), they told me that CFI-1200A model has a psu rated for 100v, so overseas usage wasn't possible, and they didn't adviced using a transformer (i assume it's as a disclaimer in case something gets damaged)... Sooo, I took the risk and used one (750W), and was able to play for like 3 hours, wires, transformer and PS5 were pretty cool, so I think everything is looking good.

I'm yet to open the console and check if the psu is dual voltage or not, but taking in consideration what the japanese dude told me, it seems it is not.

Hello everyone,

I would like to ask you a question.

PlayStation 5: Why can't I download a game I have bought?

I downloaded a trial for Company of Heroes 3 and after my 2 hours trial time, bought it on sale. It never recognised that I had bought it and insisted my 'trial period was over' when trying to play it. Multiple resets later, I was required to do a firmware update. This is it, i thought. Nope.

I decided to reinstall, deleting the game. When going back to the store directly or through my library there is a dollar amount on the COH3 page instead of a download option - looking as though I havn't purchased it. Attempting to purchase again it say I already own this product.

I tried to restore the license though settings, which I have done before, but it appears you can only restore licenses for games that are INSTALLED.

System software up to date, game purchased, no download option. Have I lost my money?

When pressing the power button once, PS5 will display the reinstall system file screen prompting to reinstall the system file from a USB. The reinstallion fails with the code "SU-101217-2" and displaying "Something went wrong." This is after the screen where the install and resetting defaults settings go to 100%. It can boot into safe mode too with all options available. I have tried every option and combination of options with no luck. Trying to update instead of reinstalling, results in the same "SU-101217-2" error. What is the cause of this? There is no information online on the root cause.

all pins on the port seem to have contact when tested, the tv senses that something is plugged in pvh the console starts with a solid white light but no picture comes. have tried starting it in safe mode. could this be because the diode is broken? or that the cap does not have sufficient contact?

PlayStation 5: PS5 Voltage regulator SBV TI07F (TLV62090RGTT)

Hello!

Can you tell me what are the voltages on these resistors on PS5 PCB(I marked them with yellow rectangle)? I think that some of them are failed on my PS5 board.

I am repairing one PS5 (EDM-010) and on voltage regulator output near southbridge instead of 3.3V there is 1.8V. As I understood in "PlayStation 5 Ultimate Troubleshooting Guide - Fixing Your Console Like a Pro" video (30:55) HDMI IC, WiFi and some other stuff need 3.3V in order to work properly.

I am not sure if voltage regulator is OK or resistors are broken, so I would be very grateful if someone could tell me what is the resistance of those resistors designated with yellow rectangle (as voltage regulator output is configured by those resistors as I understood TLV62090RGTT datasheet). And also I am interested in did someone have similar problem on their PCB?

PlayStation 5: PS5 Power Supply Burns

I just recently bought a PS5 that was broken. I noticed that it seemed to get no power so I opened it up and discovered that the PSU is only putting out 9 volts, I thought that maybe cockroachs had gotten inside of it and shorted it out (I noticed them when I first opened it up, seemed to be cleaned well). When I opened it I saw two areas where the back of the PCB seemed to be burned, all of the components on the front seem to be fine. I was wondering if this is fixable and how I could fix it if it is possible. Yes, I understand the risks and I am willing to take them, I understand what to do to be safe in this power supply. Thank you.

PlayStation 5: beep, no power repair

Hello,

I am repairing some PS5 console with common beep - no power issue. I quickly measured common locations for shorts and I think I found one, but I'm not really sure if it's a short or is intended behaviour. It's near Dialog DA9081 power management chip, where an inductor (at least I think it is) is connected from what it looks like to me a common connection of pins 21, 22, 23 and 24 - although I find this very strange, as 21 and 22 are analog inputs, 24 is positive voltage terminal and 23 is analog ground. The other side of this inductor is shorted to ground, but there are clearly some capacitors so I think there should not be a short. Before I remove the chip I would like to hear your opinion.
I removed this what I think was inductor and took a shot with my microscope. Rectangle is where inductor was and I marked the X spot where I'm measuring against ground. I must say that short is only measured if I put positive probe to X and negative to ground. If I reverse it, I don't get a short.

BTw, anyone would know what value is this inductor so I can replace it once I find a defect?
Thanks

I recently got back home to my ps5 and it refuses to read any of my discs, initially it read games lower than 100gb but when i tried to play the game it gave me an error code that it could not read it. From now on it refuses to read any of my discs and im not sure if I need a lens replacement or a lens cleanup. The beeping noises are only heard from close up with a quick two beeps from inside the disc drive for a few minutes just to say "unrecognized disc." It used to read everything and download before I tried playing one of them so now its just unrecognized with every game i put into it.
