Philips Norelco BG2040 BodyGroom 7100: Battery replacement made smoke, and now just orange lights

I installed the batteries, plugged it back into the housing and it immediately headed up and started smoking. I pulled the batteries out and reconnected them.

Now I just get an orange flashing light when I press the buttons. What's up?

Philips Nose trimmer Series 5000: How to open the nose trimmer

Hi,

The title says 'nose trimmer', which I was very happy to find, but the guide actually refers to a beard trimmer.

Someone at our Repair Cafe brought in a Philips-Norelco Series 5000 nose trimmer that stopped working, but it seems to be impossible to open it. Do you happen to know if and how it can be opened?

Philips Razor: Plastic edge has been chipped

For my Philips Razor Multi groomer 3000, a small part of a black plastic edge has been chipped off. Do I need to glue it back onto the device? Or is there something else I can do to fix this issue?

Philips Norelco MultiGroom 3100: Can I get a replacement for the standard blade/razor?

My Norelco Multigroom still working great, but I have problem with the main, wide blades on this model.

The blade wont stay in it's location. Usually you'd insert and turn and the head is locked in. My blade doesn't "lock in" and when this is turned on, the blade eventually is shaken loose and then won't work.

The smaller blades stay locked in with no problem, so it appears the problem isn't the main section.

I've looked online but can't find anything about obtaining a new blade.

I’m willing to buy this product, but I’m kind of worried about the blade. On manual, it’s written that you can only clean with water.

A blade lasts about 4 months, so only water won’t clean it. Could I use alcohol 70%?

The Nivea Shave Gel no longer flows thru my Philips Norelco Cool Skin Shaver. I have not used the shaver for several years. Is their any way to clean out the old gel that has probably dried up? Or do I need to replace some parts? Thanks!

Philips Norelco OneBlade: New razor won't charge because of bad contact.

I have this brand new OneBlade that refuses to charge. Philips's customer service sent me a new one for free. But I'd like to fix the faulty one.

The charging cable attaches to the device firmly and everything looks fine, but the light on the razor doesn't turn on and it doesn't charge. I tried the new cable that Philips sent and still doesn't work. When I force-press and hold the cable into the device with a slight angle (pressing both into the device and down) the light turns on and the razor charges.

So it looks obvious that there is some sort of bad contact with the two pins on the razor end.

I'd like to read your suggestions about how to fix the bad contact but I'm also a little bit concerned about safety... like not setting my house on fire for a 30$ razor.

I am looking to know what is the exact name of the small bearing that sits on the motor shaft that spins around on the beard trimmer. Mine fell off and am wondering is it possible to get a replacement one as trimmer is 100% apart from missing that small piece.
